Cash Dispensing, Validation, and Recycling Systems

This course delivers specialized instruction on the core electro-mechanical modules responsible for currency handling in automated teller machines and retail cash automation terminals. Technicians study the physical transport paths, friction and vacuum feed pick mechanisms, divergence gates, and stacking assemblies utilized across modern dispensing modules. The curriculum examines the multi-spectral optical, infrared, and magnetic sensor arrays integrated into advanced bill validators for counterfeit detection and denomination identification. Students also explore the complex mechanics of continuous roll storage and cassette-based cash recycling systems, tracking currency flow between customer deposits, escrow holding zones, and internal vaults. Through intensive workbench diagnostics and component-level adjustments, learners master mechanical overhaul routines, belt and gear tensioning, optical sensor calibration, and jam extraction protocols. Emphasizing methodical fault isolation, this course prepares technicians to maintain high-reliability currency automation equipment in demanding field environments.
